DOCUMENT PREPARATION (PRO PER - REPRESENTING YOURSELF)
ATTORNEY REVIEWS ALL DOCUMENTS FOR ISSUES PRIOR TO YOU FILING
When there is little or no marital property, no child custody issues, no issues of spousal maintenance, and no adversarial attorneys, agreeable spouses can usually obtain a quick divorce or even represent themselves.
This is why some clients do not wish to incur more attorneys fees than necessary, and would like to represent themselves, the Court calls this ”Pro-Per“ representation, and yet, still have the aid of legal counsel available. In such cases, a person can represent themselves with our assistance. We can help you draft court forms, and also provide you with additional assistance that you may need throughout the divorce process.
Under this plan, you only pay for services as they are needed / requested by you. Some people only need one consult with the attorney and document preparation. Other people need more consults with an attorney at different stages of their proceedings. Under this plan there is no retainer fee. You just pay as you proceed through the divorce.
There are limitations regarding this plan. For example, our firm does not go to court on your behalf unless it is formally retained. In the event that you are unable to resolve your case, and desire to have our firm represent you in court, you can always formally retain the firm at any time.

FULL REPRESENTATION BY OUR FIRM

Often, many divorces are far more complex and require more than document preparation. The typical divorce usually involves a marriage spanning a number of years with considerable marital property, personal property, real estate, child custody issues, businesses, large complex debt or concealed debts and assets, trust funds, real estate in other states, joint and separate accounts, investments, insurance, pensions, and other issues.
In these complex situations, the parties often cannot divide their property on their own and therefore may require court involvement and significant representation by a qualified attorney.
FULL REPRESENTATION FOR COMPLEX DIVORCE CASE
Minimum of $2500.00 retainer to start. Initial retainer may be higher (depends on complexity) after you consult with the attorney.
All retainer's are placed into a trust account and billed out monthly. Statements are sent out monthly to client's with retainers held in trust. All remaining retainer monies held in trust are refunded to clients at the conclusion of the case.
